Dr. Ramraj Gupta is a Consultant- Surgical Gastroenterology, Minimal Invasive Bariatric & Metabolic Surgeon. After completing MBBS from the prestigious M.S. Ramaiah Medical College, Bangalore, he went on to pursue post-graduation in General Surgery from St. Philomenas Hospital, Bangalore. Dr. Ramraj subsequently worked as a senior registrar in the departments of General and Plastic Surgery at St. Philomenas Hospital before pursuing a full-time Fellowship in Minimal Invasive Surgery from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, where he underwent training in basic, advanced laparoscopic, and gastro-intestinal surgeries including foregut, hepatobiliary, pancreatic and colorectal surgeries. He further went on to pursue Fellowship in Metabolic and Bariatric surgery, a two-year training program from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences. He has trained in a variety of metabolic & bariatric surgeries including banded procedures and redo surgeries and is the first surgeon in the country to receive a university-recognized fellowship in this coveted sub-specialty of Bariatric & Metabolic Surgery. Dr. Ramraj has a Fellowship in advanced laparoscopy in Hepato-biliary pancreatic Surgery from the Indian Association of Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons of India (IAGES) and a Fellowship in Colorectal Surgery awarded by the Association of Colon and Rectal Surgeons of India (ACRSI) to his credit.
