Fortis Noida Hosts Health Carnival to Promote Preventive Healthcare Awareness- Draws Participation from 450 Children

Apr 28, 2026 to Apr 28, 2026

Noida, 28th April 2026: Recognising the importance of instilling health awareness early in life, Fortis Hospital Noida organised a Health Carnival and Competition to introduce children to preventive healthcare through engaging, activity-based learning. The initiative aimed to nurture healthy habits at a formative stage, helping children build lasting awareness and supporting improved health outcomes over time. Centered on the theme “Health with Science,” the initiative was thoughtfully curated for children aged 5 - 12 years, blending creative activities with expert-led interactions to foster awareness of healthy habits and the importance of timely preventive action. By combining experiential learning with scientific understanding, it aimed to build a strong foundation for lifelong health and well-being.

The event featured a vibrant Competition Zone that saw participation from over 350 families, including 450 children across activities such as colouring and poster-making, fine arts, slogan writing, and a healthy recipe contest focused on fireless cooking. With a total prize pool of INR 51,000, the entries were evaluated by a distinguished panel of four eminent school principals, ensuring a fair and credible assessment. Complementing this was an engaging Fun Zone, which included a magic show and interactive sessions for children, creating an enjoyable environment that encouraged active participation while reinforcing key health and wellness messages.

As part of the initiative, expert sessions were conducted by Dr. Ankit Prasad, Consultant – Paediatrics and Dr. Ashish Chidanand Dodmani, Consultant – Paediatrics, Fortis Hospital Noida. The sessions focused on preventive healthcare, wellness and the importance of adopting healthy habits at an early age. Dedicated consultation zones in ophthalmology, dental care and dietetics were also set up, providing children and parents access to specialist guidance.

Speaking on the initiative, Dr. Ankit Prasad, Consultant – Paediatrics, Fortis Hospital Noida, said, “Preventive healthcare must begin early in life. When children are introduced to basic health practices in a structured and relatable manner, it helps build awareness and encourages long-term healthy habits. Awareness within families plays an important role in strengthening preventive healthcare, and engaging both children and parents together supports the consistent adoption of healthier practices in daily life.”

Dr. Ashish Chidanand Dodmani, Consultant – Paediatrics, Fortis Hospital Noida, said, “Many health concerns can be addressed through early awareness and lifestyle changes. Such initiatives help families take timely steps and make informed decisions about their health.”

Mr. Mohit Singh, Zonal Director, Fortis Hospital Noida, said, “Building awareness around preventive healthcare at an early age is essential for improving long-term health outcomes. Through initiatives like this, we aim to engage children and families in a meaningful way, encouraging them to adopt healthy practices early and make informed choices towards their well-being.”
